What you should bring on your trip:
Rain jacket if forecast is for rain
Rods, reels and favorite lures (optional)
Cooler with ice if you plan on keeping your
catch and Ziploc bags (Hybrids and White
Bass only)
What to expect on your
trip
Hybrid Striped Bass
trip-
A full day trip is five hours long. Most trips start
at Temple Lake Park, (north ramp). While
your trip is five hours long, my day starts
hours before preparing for the trip,
catching bait for the trip and then at the
end of your trip I clean and bag your catch*.
We will be fishing live shad on Berkley Ugly
Stick Rods with Bait cast reels or Artificial bait fishing will be spoons
(slabs) on Allstar rods and bait-cast reels. All tackle will
be provided, however customers are expected
to reimburses for major loss or damage of
equipment, i.e. rods and reels.
Full Day Bass
trips- Trips will start at a
ramp to be determined, based on weather
conditions and area of the lake the fish are
biting in. Start time will be near to first
light, unless customer prefers to start later.
Full day trips will be to 3 PM or at least 8
hours. Bass trips are all catch and release
only, I recommend to measure and photograph any
trophy fish caught, then have a fiberglass
replica made. We will be fishing Shimano Reels
on PowerTackle Rods or Allstar rods. All tackle
will be provided, however customers are expected
to reimburses for major loss or damage of
equipment, i.e. crank baits, spinners baits,
rods and reels. Customers should let me know if
they do not feel comfortable with bait-cast
reels, arrangement can be made for spinning
reels, however I have great patience in teaching
the use of bait-cast reels and have not meet an
angler whom I was unable to teach how to use
Bait-cast reels. From July 1 to September 15th I
offer full day trips as split trips, safe light
for four hours then four hours before sundown to
sundown, there is and additional fuel cost of
$50.00 for this option. This is optional and at
the customers request, otherwise the normal
hours of the full day trip will be safe light
for 8 hours.
Half Day Bass
trips- Trips will start at a
ramp to be determined, based on weather
conditions and area of the lake the fish are
biting in. Start time will be near to first
light for morning trips, unless customer prefers
to start later. Afternoon trips will start four
hours before sundown. Half day trips will be 4
hours long.. We will be fishing Shimano Reels on
PowerTackle Rods or Allstar rods. All tackle
will be provided, however customers are expected
to reimburses for major loss or damage of
equipment, i.e. crank baits, spinners baits,
rods and reels.
* Fish
cleaning refers to Hybrid Striped Bass Only,
should the customer desire to keep White Bass
and have me clean them there will be an
additional charge of $10.00/limit.
